UPSC CAPF (AC) syllabus – UPSC CAPF syllabus 2017

Every year, UPSC conducts UPSC CAPF (AC). It is Union Public Service Commission’s Central Armed Police Force Assistant Commandant Exam. It was also known as Central Police Assistant Commandant Entrance Test. It is national level civil service test, which is carried out every year by UPSC.

Each year, large numbers of interested as well as eligible candidates go on applying for it. But not all of them get qualified. The UPSC conducts UPSC CAPF AC Exam for recruiting eligible candidates for Group A as Assistant Commandant Posts.

UPSC CAPF (AC) syllabus

Candidates, who get qualified in UPSC CAPF AC Exam, can get their jobs as Assistant Commandants into various departments including Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) etc.

There are mainly two papers in UPSC CAPF AC Exam. Here are brief details:

Paper 1: General Ability and Intelligence
Total Marks: 250 Marks

Paper 2: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension
Total Marks: 200 Marks

India and World Geography:
This section will contain questions about physical, social and economic aspects of geography about India and the world.

For Paper 2:

Essay, Precise Writing, and Comprehension

This paper contains various essays and comprehension parts. It is the descriptive article. Candidates need to answer the questions through detailed description.

Mainly, this paper is to check candidates’ ability to describe mentioned topics in depth.

Also they ask questions for specific Essay Topic and candidates need to arrange those items through particular Order, manner, grammatical order as well as also they need to find out grammatical errors, sentence placement, word placement, etc.

Also, there might be questions regarding writing particular types of comprehension from a longer paragraph. Several issues also include short issues and candidates need to answer them accordingly.
